As per the report of The Technical Group by the National Commission, The population of Jharkhand is projected to be 39,632,000 or 39.6 million or 3.96 crores as of July 1, 2023. Jharkhand is the 12th most populous state in india. Jharkhand’s population is projected to reach 4.53 cr in 2036.
The size of the population of Jharkhand is equivalent to Canada, the 38th most populous country in the world. Only three country in South America, seven countries in Europe and ten countries in Africa have more people than Jharkhand.
In 2023, the sex ratio of the total population in Jharkhand is 104.758 males per 100 females. There are 20,276,000 or 20.3 million or 2.03 cr males and 19,355,000 or 19.4 million or 1.94 cr females in Jharkhand. Jharkhand has 921,000 or 921 k more males than females.
