In 2024, the United States and China would remain the largest economy in nominal and PPP, respectively. Tuvalu would be the world's smallest economy in both methods. In exchange rate methods, the largest economy, the United States, represents a above quarter share (26.3%) of the global economy, while the smallest economy Tuvalu contributes only 0.00006 percent. In PPP, the biggest economy, China shares 19.0% of the world, and lowest-ranked Tuvalu shares 0.00004 percent.

In nominal data, nineteen economies would have gdp above $1 trillion. Seventy would have an economy of above $100 billion. Venezuela are projected to move above $100 bn.

Out of 195 economies, gdp (nominal) of 172 economies would increase, and 23 economies would decrease in 2024 compared to 2023. With $1.42 tn, United States will be the top contributor, followed by China ($871 bn), India ($365 bn), Mexico ($228 bn), and Brazil ($158 bn). The top five decliners would be Nigeria ($-122.2 bn), Japan ($-102.5 bn), Argentina ($-50.6 bn), Egypt ($-46.3 bn) and Czech Republic ($-6.1 bn). In ppp data, 33 economies would have gdp above Int. $1 trillion as the South Africa is the new entrant in the trillion-dollar economy. Nighty-nine economies would have an economy of greater than Int. $100 billion. Bahrain is projected to move above Int. $100 bn.

Out of 195 economies, gdp (ppp) of 188 economies would increase, and seven economies would decrease in 2024 compared to 2023. China (Int. $2360 bn), United States (Int. $1423 bn), India (Int. $1252 bn), Indonesia (Int. $329 bn) and Russia (Int. $293 bn), would be the top gainers. West Bank and Gaza (Int. $-18 bn), Argentina (Int. $-5 bn), Sudan (Int. $-3 bn) and Afghanistan (Int. $-3 bn) would be the top decliners. Guyana would improve its rank by 11 spots, followed by Niger (+5), Cabo Verde (+4) and Cambodia (+3). West Bank and Gaza (-13) and Afghanistan (-5) are the top decliners in the ppp ranking.
