As per the report of the Technical Group by the National Commission, the population of Andaman and Nicobar Islands is projected to be 404,000, or 404k, or 4.04 lakh, as of July 1, 2023. Andaman and Nicobar Islands is the 3rd least populous union territory in India after Lakshadweep and Ladakh. Andaman and Nicobar Islands’s population is projected to reach 4.13 lakh in 2036.
The size of the population of Andaman and Nicobar Islands is equivalent to that of Guadeloupe, the 179th most populous country in the world.
In 2024, the sex ratio of the total population in Andaman and the Nicobar Islands will be 111.518 males per 100 females. There are 213,000, or 213k, or 2.13 lakh, males and 191,000, or 191k, or 1.91 lakh, females in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Andaman and Nicobar Islands have 22,000, or 22k, more males than females.
