In 2026, the Philippines is projected to have a nearly balanced sex ratio of 99.50 males per 100 females, indicating that women outnumber men by a small margin.

In the Philippines, the male-to-female ratio has risen from 100.41 in 1950 to a peak of 102.38 in 1969. Since then, the ratio has been declining, and women began to outnumber men in 2018. This trend is expected to continue, with the ratio projected to drop further to approximately 96.78 males per 100 females by 2079.

In the Philippines, the sex ratio at birth is approximately 107.7 boys for every 100 girls, making it the 8th highest male-biased birth ratio in the world. This ratio has remained consistent since 1950, when it was 108 male births per 100 female births.

As of 2026, the Philippines has more males than females in age groups under 45. The highest male-to-female ratio is observed in the 00–04 age group, with 107.42 males for every 100 females. For children under 15, the sex ratio is 104.75, while for the working-age population (15–64), the ratio is almost balanced at 100.29 males per 100 females. However, the ratio drops to 72.14 males for every 100 females in those over 65. Among the elderly, women significantly outnumber men, with a 2-to-1 ratio in the 80–84 age group and a 6-to-1 ratio among centenarians.
