Singapore is the richest economy in Asia, followed by Macao. Six economies have a GDP per capita above 50,000 US dollars. Twenty-two economies would have a per capita GDP above $10,000. Afghanistan has the poorest economy in Asia. Two Asian economies have a GDP per capita below $1000.

In 2025, Taiwan will move ahead of South Korea and Saudi Arabia. Two economies are in the top ten richest economies in the world, and fourteen economies are within the top 50 world GDP per capita rankings.

Out of 48 economies, GDP (nominal) per capita of 36 economies would increase, and 9 economies would decrease in 2025 compared to 2024. Israel will add $5,715 in 2025, followed by Singapore ($3,807) and Taiwan ($3,767). Kuwait, Oman, and Iran are the top decliners.

In PPP data, three economies have a GDP per capita above 100k Int. Dollars. Fourteen economies would have a per capita GDP above Int. $50,000. Cyprus will overtake South Korea. Four Asian economies are in the top ten richest economies globally, and fourteen economies are within the top 50 world GDP per capita rankings.

Out of 48 economies, the GDP (PPP) per capita of 45 would increase, and two economies would decrease in 2025 compared to 2024. Singapore will add Int. $6,061 in 2025, followed by Qatar (Int. $5,667) and the United Arab Emirates (Int. $5,149). Myanmar and Yemen are the two decliners.
