In 2025, the United States and China will remain the largest economies in nominal and PPP, respectively. Tuvalu would be the world's smallest economy in both methods. In exchange rate methods, the largest economy, the United States, represents an above-quarter share (26.3%) of the global economy, while the smallest economy, Tuvalu, contributes only 0.00007 percent. In PPP, the biggest economy, China, shares 19.3% of the world, and the lowest-ranked, Tuvalu, shares 0.00003 percent.

In nominal data, nineteen economies would have a GDP above $1 trillion. Seventy-three would have an economy of above $100 billion. Costa Rica is projected to move above $100 billion.

Out of 194 economies, the GDP (nominal) of 184 economies would increase, and 10 economies would decrease in 2025 compared to 2024. With $1.26 trillion, China will be the top contributor, followed by the United States ($1169 bn), India ($383 bn), Japan ($319 bn), and Germany ($212 bn). The top five decliners would be Egypt ($-34.2 bn), Mexico ($-30.3 bn), Argentina ($-30.2 bn), Ethiopia ($-24.1 bn), and Nigeria ($-4.8 bn). Uzbekistan and Zambia would improve their rank by 5 spots, followed by DR Congo (+4). Burundi (-12), Ethiopia (-6), and Yemen (-4) would lose the most in the ranking.

In PPP data, 33 economies would have a GDP above Int. $1 trillion. 102 economies would have an economy of greater than Int. $100 billion. Senegal is projected to move above Int. $100 billion.

Out of 194 economies, the GDP (PPP) of 191 economies would increase, and three economies would decrease in 2025 compared to 2024. China (Int. $2366 bn), India (Int. $1345 bn), the United States (Int. $1169 bn), Indonesia (Int. $325 bn), and Russia (Int. $220 bn) would be the top gainers. Equatorial Guinea (Int. $-1.076 bn) would be the top decliner. Guyana (+5), South Sudan (+5), and Côte d'Ivoire (+4) are the top gainers. Yemen (-5) is the top decliner in the PPP ranking.
