In 2025, the United States and China will remain the largest economies in nominal and PPP, respectively. Tuvalu would be the world's smallest economy in both methods. In exchange rate methods, the largest economy, the United States, represents an above-quarter share (26.8%) of the global economy, while the smallest economy, Tuvalu, contributes only 0.00006 percent. In PPP, the biggest economy, China, shares 19.7% of the world, and the lowest-ranked, Tuvalu, shares 0.00003 percent.

In nominal data, nineteen economies would have a GDP above $1 trillion. Seventy-four would have an economy of above $100 billion. Costa Rica and Sri Lanka are projected to move above $100 billion.

Out of 193 economies, the GDP (nominal) of 169 economies would increase, and 24 economies would decrease in 2025 compared to 2024. With $1.32 trillion, the United States will be the top contributor, followed by China ($484 bn), India ($278 bn), the United Kingdom ($195 bn), and Japan ($160 bn). The top five decliners would be Mexico ($-160.1 bn), Russia ($-84.8 bn), Korea ($-79.4 bn), the Islamic Republic of Iran ($-60.3 bn), and Brazil ($-45.4 bn). Uzbekistan would improve their rank by 7 spots, followed by Haiti (+6). South Sudan (-7), Ethiopia (-7), Iran (-6), and Yemen (-6) would lose the most in the ranking.

In PPP data, 33 economies would have a GDP above Int. $1 trillion, as South Africa is the new entrant in the trillion-dollar economy. 102 economies would have an economy of greater than Int. $100 billion. Senegal is projected to move above Int. $100 billion.

Out of 193 economies, the GDP (PPP) of 190 economies would increase, and three economies would decrease in 2025 compared to 2024. China (Int. $2,562 bn), India (Int. $1,460 bn), the United States (Int. $1,322 bn), Indonesia (Int. $347 bn), and Russia (Int. $287 bn) would be the top gainers. Venezuela (Int. $-3.295 bn), Equatorial Guinea (Int. $-0.557 bn), and South Sudan (Int. $-0.205 bn) would be the top decliners. Guyana (+6), Libya (+4), and the Kyrgyz Republic (+4) are the top gainers. Yemen (-5) is the top decliner in the PPP ranking.
