In 2023, the United States and China would remain the largest economy in nominal and PPP, respectively. Tuvalu would be the world's smallest economy in both methods. In exchange rate methods, the largest economy, the United States, represents a above quarter share (25.8%) of the global economy, while the smallest economy Tuvalu contributes only 0.00006 percent. In PPP, the biggest economy, China shares 18.8% of the world, and lowest-ranked Tuvalu shares 0.00004 percent.

In nominal data, nineteen economies would have gdp above $1 trillion as the Türkiye is the new entrant in the trillion-dollar economy. Sixty-nine would have an economy of above $100 billion. Bulgaria and Guatemala are projected to move above $100 bn and Angola will fall below $100 bn.

Out of 195 economies, gdp (nominal) of 155 economies would increase, and 40 economies would decrease in 2023 compared to 2022. With $1.49 tn, United States will be the top contributor, followed by Mexico ($346 bn), Germany ($344 bn), India ($343 bn), and France ($269 bn). The top five decliners would be Russia ($-381.8 bn), China ($-185.4 bn), Nigeria ($-87.4 bn), Egypt ($-76.8 bn), Saudi Arabia ($-38.7 bn). Macao SAR (+14) would climb most in the nominal ranking, followed by Costa Rica (+11). Timor-Leste (-17), Sudan (-14), Gabon (-10) and Angola (-9) would lose most in the ranking.

In ppp data, 32 economies would have gdp above Int. $1 trillion in 2023. Colombia will cross Int. $1,000 bn marks. Nighty-seven economies would have an economy of greater than Int. $100 billion. Uruguay is projected to move above Int. $100 bn.

Out of 195 economies, gdp (ppp) of 190 economies would increase, and five economies would decrease in 2023 compared to 2022. China (Int. $2681 bn), United States (Int. $1487 bn), India (Int. $1219 bn), Indonesia (Int. $357 bn) and Japan (Int. $351 bn) would be the top gainers. Sudan (Int. $-31 bn), Lebanon (Int. $-10 bn), Afghanistan (Int. $-7 bn), Timor-Leste (Int. $-4 bn) and Equatorial Guinea (Int. $-1 bn) would be the top decliners. Macao SAR would improve its rank by 25 spots, followed by Guyana (+13). Timor-Leste (-12), Afghanistan (-10), Lebanon (-9), and Sudan (-7) are the top decliners in the ppp ranking.
